Coronary – Sinbad
These are serious dudes from the Finnish city of Tampere who grew up on the heavy metal of the 80’s, especially admiring the German school of heavy metal – Accept, early Grave Digger and Helloween. Old-school sound, dad rock from the real dads and rockers. Just look at their photos on the Bandcamp, what's not to love?
Gravesend – Methods Of Human Disposal
Some call Gravesend a war metal band. Yes, they mix chaotic brutal death with black metal, but they do not use the traditional war metal colors (white, red and black) on the cover and their songs are not about Satanism and war. Brooklyn's Gravesend intrigued me last year with the "Preparations for Human Disposal" release, four songs from which are also featured on this album. Then I was captivated by the use of synths, massive bass sound, and man vs the city concept. The city is dirty, inhabited by rats, full of broken bottles and used syringes, you live and read it in news about suicides, accidents, and murders until you end up in that news. LP did not disappoint.

Harakiri For The Sky – Maere
Mӕre is a mythical creature that sits on the chests of sleeping people at night and causes anxiety and shortness of breath. This is a state of diffuse terror and paralysis that Austrian post-blackers Harakiri For The Sky are trying to capture in their fifth full-length album, released on AOP Records.

Lair – At Our End
The EP of two tracks with a total running time of twenty-six and a half minutes, as you may have guessed it, from the Virginia-based doom metal band. The release begins with a fairly light warming intro, after which, however, the band begins to press harder and harder, guiding you into the hypnotic trance slowly but steadily. I really like how plates and snare drum sound in the mix.

Mogwai – As The Love Continues
Two weeks in a row, post-rock heroes from 00's release their new music, and if I was bored listening to God Is An Astronaut, this new release from the Scottish post-rock band Mogwai I kind of enjoyed. But still, post-rock as a genre is clearly dying out.

Qwälen - Unohdan Sinut
Icy, like a gust of wind during a blizzard, raw Finnish black metal with the crust punk elements - it is not about innovations by any means, it's anger and darkness from which the cold blows despite the speed and energy of the material.

Wild Pink – A Billion Little Lights
Oh, boy, how tired I am of winter. I do not like the cold or snow, slippery streets, and short days. Wild Pink's album "A Billion Little Lights" awakens the spring or even summer mood. Charming melodies, beautiful arrangements and personal lyrics evoke memories of the beautiful sunsets and bright dawns. I can't wait to sit around the flame with the friends and sing the songs with a big smile on my face, and Wild Pink brings just that vibe!
